Selong Belanak is pleasantly close to Lombok’s airport, but the last part of the journey still deserves a plan. The village, main beach, Serangan, Torok, Tampah and the hilltop villas are separate drop-off points, not one compact resort zone.

For most people, the easiest arrival is a driver who already has the flight number and exact accommodation pin. It removes the usual airport discussion while you’re tired and carrying bags.

Once you’ve unpacked, you may be able to walk for coffee, dinner or the beach. Whether that works every day depends almost entirely on where you chose to stay.

An official airport taxi is useful If you prefer to arrange transport after landing. Use the designated counter, confirm the fare method and show the exact destination. A hotel transfer is better when arriving late, travelling with children, carrying surfboards or reaching a villa with a less obvious entrance.

Combine destinations logically. Tampah and a reservation at Codium can form one outing; Serangan pairs naturally with sunset drinks and dinner at Boni Beach. Mawi should be chosen for its actual surf or scenery rather than added as a rushed checklist stop.

Waterfalls, the north coast, the Gilis and cultural villages can be visited from South Lombok, but they aren't local Selong Belanak errands. Use a dedicated driver, start early and verify what the tour price includes. A long island day immediately after arrival can undermine the slower beach holiday visitors came for.

Do ride-hailing apps work reliably? Availability and pickup acceptance can vary in rural South Lombok, so don't make an essential airport or late-night journey depend on an app alone. Can you walk everywhere? Only from some central properties; hills and neighbouring bays require transport.
