Selong Belanak has a handful of small marts and shops selling snacks, drinks, toiletries and basic supplies — enough for day-to-day essentials. Stock and opening hours vary, so it’s worth picking up anything specific when you see it.
For a wider selection, including larger supermarkets and pharmacies, head to Praya or Kuta Lombok, both an easy drive away.
There are a few ATMs around Selong Belanak, but they can run out of cash or be out of service, and many smaller warungs and shops are cash-only. It’s wise not to rely on withdrawing here.
Withdraw what you’ll need in Praya, Kuta Lombok or at the airport before you arrive, and keep some smaller notes handy for warungs, scooter fuel and local transport.
For minor issues, there are small clinics and pharmacies in and around the area. For anything more serious, the nearest larger hospitals are in Praya and the provincial capital, Mataram.
Travel insurance that covers medical care and evacuation is strongly recommended. Bring any personal medication with you, as specific items can be hard to find locally.
There are petrol stations within reach of Selong Belanak, and small roadside vendors sell bottled fuel (often in glass bottles or jerry cans) for topping up a scooter in a pinch.
Stations can be sparse in rural areas, so fill up before longer journeys into the hills or along the coast rather than risk running low.
